Yesterday, we had the Autumn Market Strategy Session at IOTAF, which was open to the public. Our teacher/traders explained the recent developments in central bank monetary policy around the world and their impact on fixed income interest rates, mortgages, stock indexes, precious metals and currencies. They presented several strategies based on macro fundamentals and technical analysis.
The second part of the evening was an open Q&A, where they answered questions from the public. Most of the questions were about what it takes to become a profitable trader, a great opportunity for our teachers to debunk false claims made by promoters of get-rich-quick schemes.
